India, Oct. 22 -- Diljit Dosanjh's scheduled concert in Delhi on October 30 has hit a roadblock after Delhi Police denied permission for the event at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The concert is part of Dosanjh's RuPay Aura India Tour and was scheduled to mark the beginning of the India leg of the tour. According to reports, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District, communicated the decision to ticketing platform BookMyShow.

Police cited security concerns, specific threat-related inputs, existing security commitments during the festive season and law-and-order responsibilities while declining permission for the event. Authorities have not publicly disclosed the nature of the specific threat inputs.
