India, May 14 -- A woman was allegedly gang-raped inside a private bus in Delhi, following which police registered a case and arrested two accused, officials said on Thursday.

According to police, the woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted inside the moving bus after being picked up late at night. Based on her statement, an FIR has been registered and an investigation has been launched.

Officials said the bus involved in the incident has been seized. Both accused have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.

Police added that the probe is being conducted from all possible angles to establish the sequence of events and gather evidence related to the case.
