India, Sept. 17 -- Delhi has retained its top position in the India Electric Mobility Index 2025, which captures the extent of electric vehicle adoption across states and UTs, followed by Maharashtra and Karnataka.

According to a report by NITI Aayog based on the index, Delhi recorded the highest overall score in the country at 84, followed by Maharashtra (78), Karnataka (73), Chandigarh (71) and Goa (65).

Among large states, Maharashtra and Karnataka were the leading performers, while Manipur ranked the highest among the hilly and northeastern states, as per the report titled 'India Electric Mobility Index 2025: Tracking Electric Mobility Trends in Indian States'.
