India, Sept. 22 -- The Delhi Government will organise a special programme, "Aangan Ka Milan," to honour Anganwadi workers as part of the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan," Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced, with the government also considering an increase in their honorarium.

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was launched to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birth anniversary. The Chief Minister said Anganwadi workers play a crucial role at the grassroots level in taking government services to children, women and families, and that honouring their dedication and contribution was the Government's responsibility.
