India, July 10 -- Delhi recorded its cleanest air in nearly 3 years as the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to 48, placing it in the 'Good' category for the first time since September 2023. The sharp improvement followed widespread monsoon showers that helped wash away pollutants from the atmosphere.
According to air quality data, an AQI of 48 falls within the 0-50 'Good' category under the Central Pollution Control Board's classification, indicating minimal health risk and clean air for residents.
