India, March 7 -- One serving and two family members of personnel from the Delhi Police have cleared the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services examination this year, bringing pride to the force. Among the most notable achievers is Apurva Verma, a serving Assistant Commissioner of Police posted in CR Park, who secured an All-India Rank (AIR) of 42 in the exam.
Verma, who had earlier joined the police service through the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS), achieved the top fifty rank in her third attempt and is now set to join the IAS.
