Delhi plans permanent drainage project to end chronic waterlogging in Dera Mandi
India, July 18 -- The Delhi Government on Friday announced a permanent drainage project to address the recurring waterlogging at Dera Mandi Road near Mandi village in south Delhi's Chhatarpur area, following an inspection by PWD and Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh.
The Minister visited the affected stretch after heavy rainfall led to severe water accumulation, disrupting traffic and inconveniencing residents. Senior officials from the concerned departments accompanied him during the inspection to review the condition of the road, drainage network and sewer system.
