India, March 16 -- Hundreds of people from across the national capital gathered on Sunday to pay tribute to former Delhi chief minister Sahib Singh Verma on his 83rd birth anniversary. The public remembered him as a leader who remained deeply connected with ordinary citizens and worked extensively for the development of the city's rural areas.
The tribute programme was held at Swabhiman Sthal Ghevra Mor, where residents from villages and neighbourhoods across Delhi assembled to offer prayers and floral tributes to the late leader. The gathering included residents, social workers, community representatives and supporters who participated in a prayer meeting and a hawan organised in his memory.
