Delhi Metro stations to get collection boxes for old clothes
India, May 27 -- The Delhi Government and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation are set to launch a new recycling initiative under which special collection boxes for old clothes will be installed at 10 major Metro stations across the Capital.
The initiative, announced under the guidance of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, aims to promote environmental conservation and reduce textile waste through recycling and reuse. Garments deposited by commuters will be converted into useful products through a structured recycling and upcycling process.
