India, June 4 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor has directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to implement a strict and time-bound action plan against illegal constructions across the capital, amid growing concerns over building safety and urban violations.

Chairing a high-level review meeting, the LG instructed officials to intensify inspections, enforce building bylaws more rigorously, and take swift action against unauthorised structures. The focus was placed on identifying violations early and ensuring strict enforcement through sealing, demolition, and legal action wherever necessary.
