India, Oct. 22 -- Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has warned of strict action against content creator Amir Shokeen over a viral video allegedly showing him making racial remarks against a young man from Tripura.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Rijiju said the accused would face consequences despite a delay in filing an official complaint. He said Delhi Police and Tripura Police would "teach him a hard lesson" and criticised those who tolerate such behaviour.

In a video, circulated widely on social media, Shokeen is seen making derogatory remarks about the young man's appearance and identity, triggering outrage across the Northeast.
