India, July 19 -- The Delhi government has issued a show-cause notice to a private school in Janakpuri, citing serious lapses in student safety, statutory compliance and alleged financial irregularities. The Directorate of Education (DoE) warned that strict action, including withdrawal of recognition and takeover of the school's management, could follow if the institution fails to provide a satisfactory explanation.

According to the Education Department, a preliminary inquiry found multiple deficiencies in the school's functioning, including inadequate surveillance systems, the absence of CCTV cameras at critical locations, and shortcomings in implementing child protection measures.
