India, May 8 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed BJP government in West Bengal, officials confirmed on Friday.
She is scheduled to travel to Kolkata on Saturday morning to participate in the ceremony and extend her best wishes to the new state government.
Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who is set to become the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal after a decisive electoral victory, will take oath during the event.
Adhikari was formally elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in West Bengal following an announcement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah earlier in the day.
