India, May 24 -- Thirty-six families in Delhi's Harsh Vihar area have finally received relief after waiting for electricity connections since 2018.

The long-pending issue was resolved after Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta intervened and directed officials to take immediate action.

The matter reportedly came to her attention during a public grievance hearing where affected families shared their struggles and difficulties caused by the delay.

According to the Chief Minister's Office, authorities acted quickly in mission mode following the directions issued by the Chief Minister.
