India, Sept. 17 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the national capital's organ donation portal and pledged to donate their organs.

The initiative was launched as part of programmes under 'Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan' marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and his 25 years of public service.

The State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) has signed an MoU with the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) to promote organ donation in the national capital, officials said.

Gupta urged people in the city to come forward and pledge their organs for donation.

"Organ donation reflects the true spirit of Seva Sankalp. One person's generous and noble pledge can save several lives," she said....
