Delhi: 10-yr-old dies after being made to stand in sun for not bringing book to school; teacher transferred
India, Aug. 31 -- The Delhi government on Monday transferred a teacher pending an inquiry into the death of a 10-year-old girl student at a government school in East Vinod Nagar, with her family alleging that she was made to stand in the sun as punishment for not bringing a book to school.
Education Minister Ashish Sood said that the transfer had been ordered with immediate effect to ensure a fair and unhindered investigation into the incident.
