India, June 2 -- A shocking case of alleged domestic abuse has emerged from Dehradun, where a woman was reportedly locked inside a room and toilet for nearly 10 months and subjected to severe physical torture by her husband and in-laws. Police have registered a case at Selakui Police Station based on a complaint filed by her father, naming the husband Rahul Khanduri and his parents as accused.

According to the complaint, the woman, who married two years ago and gave birth to twins in February 2025, was confined to a single room and toilet in her in-laws' house while her husband worked in Delhi.
