India, June 4 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday released the Defence Procurement and Financial Delegation System (DFPDS)-2026, significantly enhancing the financial powers of the Armed Forces by enabling faster and decentralised procurement decisions worth over Rs.1.25 lakh crore.
The new framework is aimed at streamlining defence acquisitions, improving operational readiness, and reducing delays in the procurement cycle by empowering service headquarters with greater financial autonomy.
