India, Nov. 4 -- Train services on the Vijayawada-Ongole-Gudur section were temporarily suspended after gale-force winds were recorded at Karavadi Railway Station during Cyclone Murasu, the Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway said in a press release issued Tuesday, November 3.

The division regulated 29 trains as a precaution to ensure passenger safety. Of these, 19 were in the UP direction and 10 in the DOWN direction.

Besides the temporary halt in train movement on the Vijayawada-Gudur section, several trains were cancelled or rescheduled because of the weather.

Cancelled services included trains from Gudur to Secunderabad and from Chennai Central to Vijayawada.
