India, Aug. 23 -- A 39-year-old CRPF personnel was killed and four members of his family were injured after the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling crashed into a roadside tree in Bihar's Rohtas district, police said on Sunday.

The accident took place on Saturday near Nimiyadih-Terka under Tilouthu police station area of Rohtas.

"CRPF personnel Kanchan Kumar Thakur, along with his family members, was travelling in an auto-rickshaw from Tarachandi towards Maa Tutla Bhawani for darshan when the vehicle apparently lost balance and crashed into a tree," Station House Officer (SHO) Shubham Kumar told PTI.
