Coempt Edutek to continue CBSE work
India, June 7 -- Hyderabad-based Coempt Edutek Private Limited, which has faced criticism over its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system used for re-evaluating Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 answer sheets, will continue to handle the process.
However, CBSE has now transferred all relevant data from Coempt's servers to its own servers as a safeguard against potential data breaches and cyber attacks. Two portals have been used for the evaluation process - a CBSE registration portal and the OSM evaluation portal. The CBSE registration portal was launched on May 19, but it faced multiple technical glitches that were flagged by students on social media, prompting the board to shut it.
