India, May 27 -- A CNG auto-rickshaw carrying devotees caught fire in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, raising alarm before being brought under control. Fortunately, all passengers reportedly escaped safely, and no casualties were reported in the incident.

According to preliminary inputs, the fire is suspected to have been triggered by a technical fault or possible short circuit in the vehicle's system while it was in operation. The flames quickly engulfed the auto-rickshaw, prompting panic among passengers and bystanders.

Fire and emergency response teams rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze before it could spread further. Authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control within a short time.
