India, March 21 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday held a pre-budget consultation with members of the kinnar (transgender) community, assuring them that their concerns and suggestions will be reflected in the upcoming Budget 2026.
The interaction, held at the Delhi Secretariat, is part of a wider exercise by the Government to engage directly with different sections of society before finalising the budget. Officials said the meeting focused on issues of employment, healthcare, housing, and social security.
