India, July 2 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday launched the Green Drive Portal at greendrive.delhivanmahotsav.in. The portal is a digital platform through which citizens can book plantation slots, request free sapling delivery to their homes or institutions, and register as Green Warriors. The platform was launched ahead of the Ridge Forest Restoration Programme to be formally inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in July with a target of planting 70 lakh saplings across the Capital.

The portal was launched at a programme organised by the Department of Environment, Forest and Wildlife. A large number of Delhi Green Warriors attended and pledged to carry the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign message to every household.
