India, April 15 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Speaker Vijender Gupta and other BJP leaders on Tuesday paid tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary, saying her government is working for the empowerment of every citizen in the city.

She offered floral tributes at his statue at 26, Alipur Road, his Mahaparinirvan site, and paid homage to Babasaheb's legacy. To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and formally dedicated state-of-the-art water ATMs for public use in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency.

In a post on X, she said Ambedkar's thoughts and ideals give energy to her government to work towards a progressive and inclusive society.
