CJP march violence: 5 FIRs filed, police probe larger conspiracy
India, July 22 -- After violence broke out during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)'s march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament, Delhi Police filed five First Information Reports (FIRs) on Tuesday. Police also began investigating whether the unrest was part of a larger plan to disrupt the city's peace.
The FIRs were filed against unknown people at Parliament Street, Barakhamba, and Connaught Place police stations for rioting, damaging property, and assaulting public servants. Police said they will review CCTV footage and other electronic evidence to identify those involved. More FIRs could be filed if new details come up.
