India, June 14 -- Indian cities must be economically productive, environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive, technologically advanced and institutionally resilient to realise the vision of a developed nation by 2047, PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said on Saturday.

Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), Mishra said urban development must be at the core of India's transformation as the country moves towards becoming a developed nation.
