China warns citizens on entering India via Nepal
India, May 11 -- The Chinese Consulate General in Kolkata has issued a fresh advisory cautioning Chinese nationals against inadvertently crossing into India from Nepal, following a recent case in which a Chinese citizen was detained by Indian border forces for allegedly entering Indian territory without valid documents.
In the advisory, the consulate urged Chinese citizens travelling in Nepal to stay away from areas near the India-Nepal border unless absolutely necessary and to ensure they possess a valid Indian visa before entering India.
