India, April 10 -- The Centre has sought applications from eligible candidates to fill the post of Central Vigilance Commissioner in the probity watchdog CVC (Central Vigilance Commission).
"It is proposed to appoint the Central Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) against the vacancy due to arise with effect from August 3, 2026, upon completion of the tenure of the incumbent," an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel said.
Praveen Kumar Srivastava, a 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service officer (retired) of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is currently working as the Central Vigilance Commissioner.
