India, May 31 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has acknowledged security vulnerabilities in its OnMark evaluation portal and announced immediate steps to enhance the platform's cybersecurity.

The board said that experts from government cybersecurity agencies and leading Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have been engaged to assess and strengthen the system.

CBSE stated that the identified vulnerabilities have been contained and that additional security audits and checks are currently underway.

The board also appreciated ethical hackers and concerned citizens who responsibly reported the issues, helping authorities address potential risks before they could be exploited.
