CBI arrests IAS officer in '60 crore scam
India, June 24 -- The CBI arrested senior IAS officer Pankaj Agarwal on Tuesday for allegedly siphoning over '60 crore from Haryana Government accounts at IDFC First Bank, officials said. Agarwal, a 2000-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, served as Principal Secretary in the Education Department from December 10, 2024, to June 16, 2025, and in the Agriculture Department from June 20, 2025, to March 24 this year, according to officials.
The alleged misappropriation involved funds from the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojana Parishad (HSSPP) and the Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board (HSAMB).
