India, May 28 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested former district judge Giribala Singh in connection with the Twisha Sharma death case, marking a major development in the ongoing probe into the alleged dowry death.

According to reports, the arrest comes shortly after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled Singh's anticipatory bail, paving the way for her custodial interrogation in the case.

The court had earlier noted serious allegations against the accused, including claims of harassment, dowry demands, and contradictory explanations regarding injuries found on Twisha Sharma's body.
