India, July 5 -- A suspected cattle thief was injured in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr after a team of officers intercepted a group allegedly involved in buffalo theft. According to police, the accused opened fire while attempting to escape, prompting officers to retaliate. One suspect sustained a bullet injury to the leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
