India, June 7 -- Days after he expressed reservations over the appointment of its Punjab unit chief, BJP leader Amarinder Singh on Saturday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed various issues concerning the State. Singh also met Union Health Minister J P Nadda and the two leaders discussed many political issues, including Punjab.

The buzz about 84-year-old Singh, who quit the Congress in 2021, being not happy had grown after he raised questions on the appointment of Kewal Singh Dhillon as Punjab BJP chief, saying he was not consulted.

After the meetings, Singh wrote on X, "Had a meeting with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji today in New Delhi and discussed various issues concerning Punjab."
