India, Aug. 3 -- Police have arrested a woman and her brother on Monday, August 3, for allegedly killing their sister's lover here, officials said on Monday.

A complainant alleged that the deceased, Ankit, was in regular phone contact with Mamta, a resident of Jamal village, and claimed that her family opposed their relationship.

He alleged that Ankit was murdered because of this relationship.

Police said they found the victim's body near the Maujdin Kasaba Minor canal in the Sirsa Sadar police station area on July 28. After recovering the body and sending it for a post-mortem, they registered a murder case against unidentified persons.
