India, Feb. 23 -- The Brewers Association of India (BAI) has welcomed the progressive and well-balanced approach adopted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in its Excise Policy for FY 2026-27.

The policy brings more transparency in the licensing and approvals process, and adds clarity across licensing, distribution and taxation while reinforcing a stable and growth-oriented environment for the beer industry.
