India, Oct. 6 -- Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas traded the usual flight between race venues for a more arduous journey, cycling more than 320 kilometres (200 miles) from Sepang to Singapore ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix.

The 37-year-old Cadillac driver set off for Singapore in the week between the two races after failing to finish the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was held at Malaysia's Sepang circuit last Sunday.

While the other drivers and teams prepared to fly to Singapore, Bottas took to the road, opting for a route that included gravel roads.

"Yea I'm riding to Singapore... on the gravel roads less travelled," Bottas posted on X.
