India, April 2 -- BJP's Tamil Nadu election in-charge Piyush Goyal released a "chargesheet" that accused the DMK Government of systemic corruption, financial mismanagement, and harbouring an explicit anti-Hindu bias. BJP also accused the State Government of illegal sand mining and deep-rooted graft across departments.
Unveiled at the BJP State headquarters in Chennai on March 31, the chargesheet alleged that there were "massive irregularities" in the DMK regime, including over Rs 1 lakh crore in State liquor marketing operations, thousands of crores in highway tenders, and widespread municipal scams. The "chargesheet" claimed the financial health of the State has collapsed, with the total debt burden surging past Rs 10 lakh crore.
