India, March 28 -- A 30 Cubic Meter biogas plant has been commissioned at the Central Cattle Breeding Farm (CCBF) in Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, converting cow dung into clean biogas for cooking and lighting. The plant serves over 12 families, reducing their dependence on LPG, and produces nutrient-rich slurry for soil fertility.

Gabriel D Wangsu, the minister in-charge in the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, directed the department to replicate this model across state farms, promoting clean energy, organic farming, and reducing pollution. The initiative is a step towards sustainable living, turning waste into valuable resources.
