Bhojshala dispute reaches Supreme Court as muslim side Challenges MP High Court verdict
India, May 22 -- The long-standing Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque dispute in Madhya Pradesh has reached the Supreme Court after the Muslim side filed a petition challenging the recent Madhya Pradesh High Court verdict.
The petition contests the High Court's decision that recognized the Bhojshala complex in Dhar as a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and altered the existing worship arrangements at the site.
The appeal has reportedly been filed through a Special Leave Petition (SLP) by Quazi Moinuddin, associated with the mosque side in the dispute.
The plea challenges findings of the High Court, including restrictions affecting Friday namaz and conclusions related to the historical character of the complex.
