Bhim Army chief seeks security for Jhansi family facing social boycott, threats
India, Sept. 9 -- Bhim Army chief and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad has demanded immediate police protection for a family in Samthar area of Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district, alleging that they have faced social boycott, threats and assault after filing a complaint over the alleged molestation of their nine-year-old daughter.
According to the family, the alleged incident took place on July 28, following which they approached the police and initiated legal action.
The family alleged that a village panchayat was held on August 2 and ordered their social boycott. They claimed that their milk and water supplies were stopped and they were prevented from accessing local shops, agricultural fields and roads.
