India, May 12 -- Cricket Canada has announced the appointment of Bhavjit Jauhar as interim chief operating officer (COO), following the conclusion of the organisation's Annual General Meeting on May 9-10.

The interim appointment supports immediate commercial, operational, governance, and compliance priorities during a period of organisational transition and renewal, Cricket Canada said.

"The AGM marked a significant milestone in Cricket Canada's ongoing governance transformation initiative, reinforcing the organisation's commitment to institutional accountability, operational excellence and financial oversight across Canadian cricket," it said.
