India, Sept. 19 -- The member units of the BCCI authorised the office-bearers to take a call on whether to give chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar an extension or find his replacement during the annual general meeting on Friday.

The incumbent chairman of selectors, Agarkar, has remained at the centre of attention as his contract is set to end on October 4, and the BCCI could be looking to find a replacement. "The office bearers have been authorised to take decisions on the matters concerning the selection committees," a senior BCCI official gave an open-ended answer at the end of the meeting.
