India, July 14 -- The death toll from the devastating fire at a music bar in Bangkok has risen to 30, making it one of Thailand's deadliest entertainment venue disasters in recent years. The blaze broke out late at night at the Rong Beer Na Ladprao music bar, trapping dozens of patrons inside. More than 70 people were injured, with at least 24 remaining in critical condition at hospitals across the city.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit in a ceiling-mounted air conditioner.
