Bahamas plane crash kills all 10 onboard; Flamingo Air flights grounded
India, July 11 -- All 10 people aboard a small passenger plane were killed after it crashed in the Bahamas, prompting authorities to launch an investigation and temporarily suspend operations of the airline involved.
The Cessna 402 aircraft, operated by Flamingo Air, crashed on Friday in North Andros after taking off from Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau on a flight to San Andros. Initial reports had suggested one survivor, but officials later confirmed that the person succumbed to injuries, taking the death toll to 10.
In response to the tragedy, the Bahamian government temporarily grounded all Flamingo Air flights as a precautionary measure while aviation authorities investigate the cause of the crash.
