India, Sept. 24 -- Homer's ancient epic "The Odyssey" is set to get a science-fiction makeover, with Audible announcing a new audio adaptation written by acclaimed novelist Adrian Tchaikovsky and narrated by actor Andy Serkis.

Titled "Odysseus Rising", the Audible Original reimagines the 3,000-year-old tale of the Greek warrior's journey home as an interstellar adventure.

The project, which has been in development since late 2024, brings together Tchaikovsky, author of the "Children of Time" series, and Serkis, known for his work in "The Lord of the Rings" and "Planet of the Apes" franchises, the audio platform said on Thursday.
