Assembly's sixth session to begin on August 7
India, Aug. 5 -- The Delhi Assembly will begin its Sixth Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly at 11 am on Friday, August 7, 2026, in the Assembly Hall at the Old Secretariat.
The House is scheduled to sit on August 7, 10, and 11, Speaker Vijender Gupta announced on Tuesday.
The Speaker further added that a Quick Response Team of the Central Reserve Police Force has already been deployed at the premises, and hydraulic road blockers are being installed at all entry gates ahead of the session.
The session was summoned following an order from the Lieutenant Governor, with the formal notification issued on July 31. Each sitting will continue until the listed business for the day is concluded and may be extended depending on the volume...
