Assam Minister Pijush distributes MMUA cheques to beneficiaries
India, July 21 -- Assam Minister for Agriculture, Irrigation, and Parliamentary Affairs Pijush Hazarika on Monday distributed Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan (MMUA) cheques to 22,818 beneficiaries in Dhing, Nagaon.
The Minister stated that this is not only ten thousand rupees but an empowering tool for the women members of society to earn a livelihood and achieve economic independence. The Minister urged the beneficiaries to properly utilize the Rs 10,000 seed money to set up businesses and become eligible to receive subsequent payments of Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 under the MMUA.
