India, Sept. 28 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday visited Bharat Mandapam in the national Capital to review the facilities and preparations for the grand closing ceremony of the birth centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika.

The grand finale and closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the legendary singer, composer and cultural icon will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on November 29, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the landmark event.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the halls and reviewed the arrangements being made for the grand finale. Senior officials briefed him on the preparations and various aspects of the programme.
