India, April 27 -- Assam emerged victorious in the final of the 2nd North East Rising Cup 2026 (Under-15 Girls), defeating Tripura by 11 runs by VJD method at the Judges' Field, Guwahati on Sunday.
The tournament, hosted by the Assam Cricket Association with the support of all the Northeast Cricket Associations as part of its continued commitment to promote and strengthen women's cricket in the Northeast region, concluded successfully.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Assam posted a competitive total of 177 all out in 34.5 overs.
For Assam, Ankita Chetri top-scored with 40 off 39 balls, followed by Aradhya Dutta (37 off 51 balls) and Murshana Baruah (22 off 24 balls).
